Roma extended their perfect unbeaten streak to 10 wins thanks to a 67′ goal from Marco Borriello, who finally opened his account for the Giallorossi.

Giuseppe Sannino’s men made it clear very early in the match that they were going to park the bus and make the Giallorossi prove their worth in the final third. After being frustrated by Chievo for the opening hour and a half of the match, the Giallorossi found their salvation after Alessandro Florenzi picked out a perfect pass to Marco Borriello who was able to head home the lone goal of the match. The striker was thrilled to get his first goal of the season as he express his delight with the media after the match: “It’s an important record that makes us go down in history, but still we haven’t done anything, we are in the history of Italian football, the goal is the icing on the cake.”

Roma remain at the top of the Serie A table. They will face Torino on Sunday at the Stadio Olimpico.
