Mason Greenwood has chosen to wait for Roma, but he won’t be doing so for much longer. \

The English striker remains a top target for the Giallorossi to strengthen their attack, but according to Corriere dello Sport, he has set a specific deadline: Sunday, July 5th.

After that date, if negotiations with Marseille fail to materialize, the player will feel free to explore other options, starting with Fenerbahçe.

Greenwood continues his social media silence, having not posted anything since March 8th, but he has already made his voice clear to Marseille: “Let me go.”

A clear stance, reflecting the growing distance between the player and the French club.

OM, however, has no intention of making concessions.

Despite the club’s financial problems having already made headlines worldwide, Marseille values Greenwood at €55 million and has so far resisted any attempt to lower his offer, not just from Roma.

The French club knows they have a highly valuable player on their hands, coming off a 26-goal season, but they also have to contend with Manchester United.

The English club are entitled to 40% of the player’s future resale value, a detail that at least partially explains Marseille’s rigidity regarding his valuation. Roma, for their part, are asking for time.

Starting July 1st, the Giallorossi will be able to move more freely on the transfer market, and for this reason, they have asked Greenwood to wait a few more days.
