Artem Dovbyk is expected to leave Roma.

The Ukrainian striker is not part of Gian Piero Gasperini’s coaching plan, although he will attend the training camp scheduled for tomorrow (July 13) at Trigoria.

The Giallorossi, however, intend to capitalize on the former Girona player’s sale in order to make an investment in his replacement, Malen.

Genoa has made an offer for Dovbyk but has requested the player on loan, a deal that cannot meet Roma’s financial needs.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, De Rossi would welcome him with open arms and is leveraging the player’s desire to reunite with the coach who brought him to the capital.

The Ukrainian striker would accept a move to Genoa and has already expressed his availability.

The former Girona player, however, earns a hefty salary at Genoa (around €3.5 million net): a difficult obstacle to overcome at the moment. Meanwhile, Dovbyk will be available again tomorrow under Gasperini, pending developments ahead of next season.
