Roma unveiled Santiago Castro with an official statement on their website.
The striker arrives from Bologna on a permanent deal for €35 million + 10% of any future transfer fee.
The 21-year-old Argentine has chosen the number 9 shirt worn by Dovbyk, who has returned to the club on loan with an option to buy.
Roma’s new striker immediately wanted to send a message to his new fans on Instagram: “I’m so happy for this new beginning with these colors! Now I’ll give my all for this city! Daje Roma!”
Castro arrives from Bologna after two and a half years in Serie A, where he made 79 appearances and scored 16 goals. He also played in the Champions League and Europa League with the Rossoblu.
