To complete Roma’s squad, Gian Piero Gasperini is asking for at least two new signings, one for the attacking midfield and a replacement for Wesley on the flank.
These two requests could converge into one name, for example, if they decide to focus heavily on Inter’s Luis Henrique, but they also keep numerous transfer options open.
Among these is the move for Malick Fofana from Lyon, given Roma’s high interest in the 2005-born Belgian winger.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto, Roma has not yet given the green light to proceed with the deal.
The initial agreement with Lyon was €35 million, a figure later deemed too high.
After signing Mora outright, the Giallorossi club declined to proceed with the deal.
Roma’s plans have therefore changed, choosing to focus on their midfielder in these final days of the transfer window.
