The Roma midfielder discussed his goal against Fiorentina, the new season, and the Giallorossi’s upcoming fixtures.
“It’s hard to explain because it’s such a strong feeling. It’s not the first time, but it feels like it always has been. The feeling of scoring a goal wearing the Roma jersey, under the Roma fans’ stands, in such a packed stadium, is truly special.”
“The sold-out crowd is truly wonderful. I think there are few teams that can count on the support of their fans so much, and it’s an extra boost they give us every time. The stadium is always packed and very excited, and it’s definitely a huge responsibility. I think the group was our strength last year too.”
“We pulled together in difficult moments, managed to pull off a winning streak, and reached the Champions League. The new players are giving us a huge hand; they’re all very strong. It’s only matchday one, and we have to focus on staying focused and taking it one game at a time.”
