Roma submitted an offer for the German winger, but the Bundesliga club—as reported by Sky Sport—rejected the Giallorossi’s initial bid.
However, discussions will continue in the coming hours. Roma’s offer included a €5 million loan with a conditional buyout of €35 million.
This deal, at least for now, hasn’t convinced Stuttgart.
Leweling’s name remains hot, and Roma will continue to work to meet the German club’s demands. D’Amico, however, is also keeping open the options for Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Luiz Henrique.
