The wait is finally over.
After seven long years, Roma is about to return to a Champions League match: tomorrow at 6:45 PM, the Giallorossi will play in Turkey against Fenerbahce in their first match of Europe’s premier club competition.
Ahead of the match, Gian Piero Gasperini announced the official squad list. Although there seemed to be a chance of Lorenzo Pellegrini being called up, the Grugliasco-born coach opted not to take any risks and instead let him continue training at Trigoria while he awaits his full recovery.
Youngster Antonio Arena is also absent. The former Pescara striker will be playing with the Primavera in the Youth League.
