Roma has started the season almost perfectly: four wins and a draw against Inter in the first five matchdays. Where can the team improve? Some individuals haven’t yet shown their best form, including Wesley, a true driving force last season.

The 2003-born player was forced to sit out again after being called up to Brazil, as he did in the summer for the World Cup, but this time it’s just a muscle strain that doesn’t worry Gian Piero Gasperini.

His presence for Como-Roma, scheduled for Sunday, October 11th, is certainly not in doubt.

Wesley played 69 games last season, an extraordinary number that would tire even a robot. A year without a break between Flamengo, Roma, and Brazil, though he was forced to stop at the peak of his powers, thus missing the World Cup.

The 2003-born player, sidelined with a muscle strain in his right thigh before the trip to Como, will have had three weeks to get his energy back.

As Il Messaggero reports, he’s currently undergoing differentiated training to help him recover. It’s curious whether he’ll stay on the right with Molina on the left or return to the opposite side of the pitch. Meanwhile, next week, Wesley will make himself available to Gasperini, who will have time to decide.
