Andrea Belotti failed to impress La Viola and seems now destined to return to Roma after temporarily parting ways with the Giallorossi in January.

What was supposed to be his chance to get back in form proved an underwhelming experience for all, Belotti and Fiorentina alike.

The striker moved on a dry loan to Fiorentina in January as he was promised significant playing time under Vincenzo Italiano.

Things, however, did not turn out this way and now La Gazzetta dello Sport is certain: Belotti will return to the Italian capital and Roma will face a difficult situation in getting rid of him.

Belotti’s wages (€2.8 million) pose a big problem for the majority of clubs that remain interested in him – the Giallorossi, on the other hand, must cut their wage bill and will therefore do everything it takes to permanently cut ties with the ex-Torino man.
