Roma continue being linked with Antonio Conte as Daniele De Rossi’s successor once De Rossi completes his interim spell at the club.

After replacing Jose Mourinho mid-season, De Rossi is expected to leave the club in June when his contract is set to expire.

According to Corriere della Sera, former Inter Milan and Tottenham Antonio Conte remains Roma’s main priority as their next long-term head coach.

Roma owners Dan and Ryan Friedkin are said to be big admirers of Conte’s work and appeal.

However, a lot will depend on who Roma’s next sporting director will be as for the time being the club continue their search for a replacement of Tiago Pinto who is set to depart the club in the first week of February.

As of right now, the capital club have held talks with multiple candidates for the sporting director vacancy but still no clear answer is in sight.
