Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo confident in Alvaro Morata staying

The president of Atletico Madrid, Enrique Cerezo, expressed his confidence in Alvaro Morata’s future in the Spanish capital.

In a recent interview with AS, Cerezo addressed Morata’s future after recent rumors linked the ex-Juve man with a return to Serie A with Roma listed as a potential destintation.

“I think that the Alvaro Morata situation presents no problems,” said Cerezo.

“He is a magnificent player, he is the number nine of the Spanish team and he is a player of our team,” he continued.

“I think he will continue to be a player of Atletico Madrid,” he concluded in response to Morata’s recent doubts about his own future including the criticism from fans and local media.
