Almost two months have passed since Bailey’s injury in training, and his recovery time, initially estimated at a month, has lengthened.
In recent weeks, Il Messaggero reports, Bailey consulted with English doctors, and a few days ago, new tests confirmed the injury has healed.
Today he will continue to do individualized training, while starting Tuesday he will attempt a gradual return to the group.
The goal remains Roma-Inter on October 18th, although a call-up could be only symbolic.
It’s more realistic to see him back between Viktoria Plzen and Sassuolo, using the break to recover slowly.
