Tommaso Baldanzi is hoping to make a surprise appearance from the start on Thursday night as Roma look to complete a comeback against Bayer Leverkusen.

With the Giallorossi set to travel to Germany later today, the conditions of Paulo Dybala still remain unclear as the player was recently injured in the match with Juventus on Sunday night.

Today’s edition of Corriere della Sera reports that Dybala is expected to be called up but it remains to be seen whether he will be fit enough to start vs Bayer.

As a result, the newspaper suggests that Daniele De Rossi is considering deploying Tommaso Baldanzi in his place.

The 20-year-old gave a wonderful performance on Sunday night and was taken off before full-time in order to rest ahead of a potential deployment from the start tomorrow in Germany.
