Marash Kumbulla’s future is increasingly distant from Roma.
The Albanian defender, who returned from his loan spell at Espanyol in the summer, was never part of Gian Piero Gasperini’s plans, and his permanence was never a given.
According to L’Unione Sarda, Cagliari have expressed their interest after monitoring him in previous transfer window sessions.
The Sardinians, however, aren’t the only team interested in Kumbulla.
Espanyol remains interested in the 2000-born defender. Last season, he made 35 appearances and scored three goals for the Spanish club.
Meanwhile, Roma are working on a possible replacement: negotiations between the Giallorossi and Legia Warsaw for Jan Ziółkowski continue.
