Roma emerged as potential suitors for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.

The out-of-favor attacker is yet to find a new team after talks with Inter collapsed earlier in the summer.

As revealed by Sky Sport, Roma came knocking on Chelsea’s doorstep a few days ago and inquired about the possibility of signing Lukaku on loan.

The capital club are famously looking for a temporary replacement of Tammy Abraham whose injury is likely to sideline him for the majority of the season.

However, Chelsea declined Roma’s approach as they refuse to consider any loan proposals for Lukaku.

Instead, the Blues want to find a permanent solution for the Belgian striker who was recently linked with a move to Juventus.
