Cagliari manager and ex-Roma boss Claudio Ranieri analyzed his side’s heavy defeat to the Giallorossi at the Olimpico tonight.

Following the 4-0 defeat to Roma, Ranieri was asked about Daniele De Rossi’s impressive run of results in his first Serie A experience as a coach.

“Congratulations to him he has taken a strong team and is making them play well,” Ranieri told Sky Sport at full-time. “Now the warm-up is over, we’ll see how he does in the next matches, I wish him the best in this adventure.”

“Roma messed up our plans, they proved to be stronger and made life difficult on us,” he added. “It is up to us to react now.”

“Roma looked great tonight, compliments to them. We were running on empty because of how quickly they switched the play from one side of the pitch to the other.”
