Roma boss Claudio Ranieri will enter this weekend’s fixture with Lecce with only one goal in mind: to win.

From Acerrana-Vigor Lamezia 1-1 (1986) to Roma-Cagliari 1-0 (2025), Ranieri has played 1131 games in eight different championships.

Now he has the chance to equal a historic milestone: 7 consecutive victories, a record that he has already achieved twice in Serie A, writes Il Corriere della Sera.

In 2010, at the helm of Roma, he put together a winning streak against Chievo, Genoa, Juventus, Siena, Fiorentina, Palermo and Catania.

In 2011-2012, he repeated with Inter.

However, he has never reached this quota in other leagues abroad.

On Saturday, by winning in Lecce, he could do it again with Roma, after having already overcome Venezia, Parma, Monza, Como, Empoli and Cagliari. A streak built using a favorable calendar, with seven of the last eight in the standings.
