The AS Roma Business Club organized an event to kick off the season, attended by more than 400 guests, including sponsors and corporate hospitality staff of the Roman club.
Former legend Abel Balbo, as well as Bryan Cristante, and Daniele Ghilardi were also in attendance.
Ghilardi himself spoke about next Sunday’s derby.
“Experiencing Rome is fantastic; you only have to look around to see the beauty of the city. It’s a thrill to play for this team,” said the young defender.
“For me, the coach’s style of play is new, but I’m slowly getting used to it and have settled in well with the team, thanks in part to my teammates who have welcomed me very warmly.”
“It’s an honor to be here; I’m settling in quickly, and my goal is to grow and improve by following the coach. I’ve always followed the derby on TV, and I can imagine the spectacle it will be to watch it from the pitch. I can’t wait for Sunday.”
