Daniele De Rossi spoke in favor of Roma’s appointment of Gian Piero Gasperini as their next head coach.
In an interview with Sky Sport, De Rossi praised the 67-year-old technician and wished him the best in the new chapter of his career.
“If we have to discuss his value as a coach, it means we don’t have to talk about football anymore,” said De Rossi who has been a big admirer of Gasperini’s work at Atalanta.
“He’s an incredible coach who has done incredible things over time, he’s always improved his ideas,” he added.
“I hope he has a lot of time to show why he can take Roma to the next level: hopefully I can face him soon, who knows.”
