The deal between Roma and Torino for midfielder Alessandro Romano is currently frozen and on hold.

As confirmed by Filippo Biafora of Il Tempo, despite a preliminary agreement between the clubs, the player has made it clear that he wants to stay in the capital.

Talks had progressed significantly, and both sides were reportedly close to finalising the transfer. However, two key issues have emerged: Roma’s buy-back clause and, more decisively, Romano’s personal stance. He has no intention of leaving the Giallorossi and wants to remain with the club.

Unless there’s a sudden shift, the move is unlikely to happen, even though terms had largely been agreed upon.
