It’s finally official: Paulo Dybala will remain in Rome for at least another year.
Despite the temptation of Boca Juniors, the Argentine has signed a one-year contract with the Roman club for a fee just under three million.
Today, the number 21 appeared at Roma’s training camp, which will kick off next season.
The permanence of the 1993-born player was a priority for Gian Piero Gasperini, and the coach’s wishes have been respected. “La Joya” spoke to the club’s microphones.
Dybala commented on his emotions at reaching his fifth year with the Giallorossi: “This story continues as we all wanted: the club, myself, and the fans. I’m happy to play another season here. Being able to wear the Giallorossi shirt again is a privilege for me.”
Then the Argentine expressed his feelings about playing for the Roman club: “For me, Roma is many things: responsibility, honor, beauty. Even on a personal level, many things drive me to stay here and defend this shirt.”
“I’m happy to be able to still be at the Olimpico, especially for when that beautiful music we’ve all been waiting for plays. We on the pitch, you in the stands: we’ll be proud of what we’re doing on European nights.”
