Recent rumors had linked Ebrima Darboe with an exit from the Italian capital in favor of Lille, where ex-Roma boss Paulo Fonseca was just appointed as the team’s manager.
However, Darboe’s agent – Giorgio Ghirardi – addressed his client’s future in a brief interview with Play Roma, denying Lille’s interest in the 20-year-old.
Ghirardi was asked to comment on the recent rumors, to which he replied, “The news about Darboe joining Lille are made up by the media.”
The Gambian midfielder’s future in the capital remains uncertain, and the player may still choose to pursue more playing time elsewhere.
