Eintracht Frankfurt have reportedly dropped out of the race for soon-to-be free agent Houssem Aouar.
The Lyon midfielder is edging closer to a long-term deal with Roma and, as a result, clubs previously interested in him are quitting their pursuit of Aouar.
According to Fabrizio Romano of Sky Sport, Frankfurt are no longer an option for the Frenchman. Their sporting director confirmed this information by stating “the deal won’t happen.”
In the meantime, Roma have offered a five-year contract to Aouar’s agent and are pushing to finalize a deal before the end of the season.
