Empoli manager Roberto D’Aversa spoke to Sky Sport following his side’s loss to Roma.
“I have to say that if we had tied the match it wouldn’t have been fair given what we saw on the pitch,” he said.
“I think Roma could have rounded off the result and scored more goals.”
“We were lucky in the first half, we should have gone and taken them higher in the second to try to tie the match.”
“It makes me angry when we can fix mistakes by acting as a team. In Serie A if you comment on mistakes the quality of the opponents makes you pay for them all. Roma is in excellent condition.”
