Espanyol’s sporting director Fran Garagarza spoke about the club’s potential transfer market moves, focusing on Kumbulla’s possible return after last season’s loan spell.
Kumbulla had been linked with a return to the Spanish side.
However, Garagarza did not open to this possibility at the moment:
“Marash has given us a lot and is of great value both from a footballing and human perspective,” he told Tuttomercatoweb.
“His return isn’t possible right now. Maybe in a couple of weeks, it might be, but right now it’s not. We’re covered at the back; we have four central defenders and another option. Resources will be focused on other, more exposed positions.”
