The World Cup always delivers. The biggest tournament in world sport is almost here again, and Roma is well represented among the best teams in the tournament. Roma’s squad includes a flurry of international stars, including players picked for the squads of Brazil, France, and the Netherlands.

Now, the World Cup squads have been confirmed, and there’s a real possibility that someone will return to Roma next season with a World Cup medal around his neck.

Every Roma player picked for the 2026 World Cup

Manu Kone (France)

Manu Kone has established himself as a key piece in keeping Roma’s squad, and his good performances has earned him a call up to the France national team.

France are the world’s top-ranked side heading into the tournament and are genuine title contenders, though Koné is likely to be competing for minutes with the likes of Tchouaméni and Zaire-Emery in midfield.

Wesley (Brasil)

The young right-back arrived at Roma in the summer and quickly earned Gasperini’s trust, often adapting to play on the opposite flank to his natural position. He’s become a solid piece of Roma’s squad, and that has translated to the national team.

Wesley is likely to start at right-back for Brazil at the tournament, and they are also marked by bookmakers as among the favourites. If you’re looking to bet on the 2026 World Cup, you can use this betvictor welcome offer from GOAL to get started.

Evan Ndicka (Ivory Coast)

Ndicka was announced as part of the Ivory Coast World Cup squad despite dealing with a niggling hamstring injury. Before his injury, he’d been Roma’s most reliable defender this season.

If fit for Ivory Coast, he would be the defensive cornerstone of the entire team. Ivory Coast may be stacked with attacking talent, but they lack much on the defensive end: Ndicka is a central figure in the squad for this reason, and without him, their chances of breaking into the knockout stages fades.

Zeki Çelik (Turkey)

Çelik has been a reliable and versatile figure for Roma with 31 appearances this season, and with 59 caps to his name will be counted on as an experienced head for Turkey.

With Turkey heading to their first World Cup finals since 2002, they’ll be facing off in a competitive group that includes hosts the USA. Çelik is likely to be a central pillar of Turkey’s defence.

Neil El Aynaoui (Morocco)

An impressive debut season in Serie A for Neil El Aynaoui has led him to become a regular at international level, and now he’ll be heading for his first ever World Cup tournament. His assured midfield performances could get him serious gametime over the summer.

Morocco are in the midst of their most successful era ever: they made it to the semi-finals of the last World Cup, and are the current holders of AFCON. They’ll be competitive at this World Cup, and El Aynaoui could be one of the tournament’s breakout stars.

Donyell Malen (Netherlands)

A real standout story of the season for Roma, Malen joined in January while struggling for form in Aston Villa, and turned his form around in style, putting away 14 goals in just 18 appearances.

It’s no surprise that he’s been selected for Ronald Koeman’s Netherlands squad, and will likely play a big role as the Netherlands hope to go far in the tournament.
