Former OGC Nice coach Francesco Farioli weighed in on Florent Ghisolfi’s decision to join Roma as the club’s new technical director.
Farioli – who recently became Ajax’s new coach after an impressive season with Nice – spoke to Radio Serie A about Ghisolfi’s arrival in the Italian capital.
Farioli discussed their working relationship and what Ghisolfi can bring to the table ahead of the upcoming season.
“I have an excellent relationship with Ghisolfi, he was the person who gave me the opportunity to come coach in France,” said Farioli.
“There is a lot of gratitude on my part,” he continued. “I believe that he has great qualities with a very precise and clear working method, he knows very well which direction he wants to take. This is fundamental because he has a working method and a mental structure that leads you to organize the team in a certain way.”
“His decisions are never far-fetched or taken based on what the feeling of the moment is, but he does a very thorough analysis deeper and more detailed than most people in his field.”
“I believe that he is a director of great value and depth, Rome is a place of the highest level, I am sure that he will assert himself as he did in his two experiences in France.”
“I believe that he earned the opportunity with a lot of work, dedication and clear ideas. He has a horizon of ambitions ahead of him which he has always pursued with great humanity and values.”
