Despite having been sacked twice in the past season – first by Roma and then by Southampton – the Croatian manager is tipped to become Gasperini’s successor at Atalanta.
As reported by Sky Sport, the Bergamaschi have narrowed down their casting choices to replace Gasperini who will be appointed Roma’s new head coach.
The news portal claims Ivan Juric is now in pole position to fill the managerial vacancy and inherit Gasperini’s team.
