Former Roma midfielder David Pizzaro briefly previewed the Giallorossi’s final stretch of the season given their recent advancement to the Conference League final.
“It was important to reach the final after a season of more downs than ups,” he told Corriere dello Sport.
“It’s an important achievement especially given Roma’s long trophy draught. Now, however, the Cup must be lifted.”
“Mourinho’s effect on the team has been total,” continued Pizarro. “He’s a guarantee, history speaks for him.”
“At the beginning he encountered the same problems as his predecessors and due to financial limitations couldn’t build the team he’d wanted. That’s why his work at the club is worth twice as much.”
