Former Roma manager Fabio Capello did not hide his disappointment with the Giallorossi’s decision to sack Jose Mourinho.
After criticizing the Friedkins – Roma’s American owners – Capello still gave words of support to Daniele De Rossi who is set to manage the team until the end of the season.
With little time to prepare and with still lots at stake, Capello said this of De Rossi in a brief interview with Il Tempo:
“It’s his opportunity to demonstrate that he can do this job, even if he only has 4 months left,” declared the Italian technician.
“The advantage is that De Rossi knows the environment and the pressures it brings. So, I hope he can win, despite the complicated challenge that lies ahead of him.”
