Among the many players currently unavailable for Gian Piero Gasperini is Evan Ferguson.
The Irish striker, who arrived on loan from Brighton in the summer of 2025, has been sidelined since the match against Sassuolo on January 10, his last appearance before the suspension.
On the eve of Genoa vs. Roma, Gasperini himself confirmed that the striker’s season was now over.
Ferguson himself clarified the situation on social media, announcing: “I’ve successfully undergone surgery to resolve a pre-existing issue. Now the work begins again to get back to fitness and play again.”
After ankle surgery, the 2004-born player will begin his recovery process with the goal of being fully available again in the summer. His Roma adventure is already over.
