Evan Ferguson’s return to action is drawing near. T

he Irish striker, who arrived in the summer from Brighton on a loan deal with an option to buy set at €38 million, is battling an ankle injury sustained in the 2-1 midweek win against Parma.

The 2004-born striker missed the subsequent matches against AC Milan, Rangers, and Udinese, and now the scare is slowly subsiding.

His chances of being included in the squad for the match against Cremonese on November 23 are increasing. However, he is unlikely to be included in Ireland’s historic match against Marco Rossi’s Hungary.

The Boys in Green will play in Budapest tomorrow at 3:00 PM, and a victory would secure their place in the 2026 World Cup playoffs.
