Timon Wellenreuther is the latest name to be linked with Roma in this transfer window.

Feyenoord’s German shot-stopper is being mentioned as a potential reinforcement for the Giallorossi this summer.

With Rui Patricio set to leave the capital club, Roma are looking for another back-up goal-keeper.

The club are on the verge of extending Mile Svilar’s contract and will thus only need a second-choice goalie for rotations across all competitions.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, in addition to Standard Liege’s Arnaud Bodart, Roma have also inquired about Wellenreuther.

The German international, however, is not too keen on the idea of being once more a back-up option.

Wellenreuther has communicated to Roma that he wishes to try his luck as a first-choice in goal in the Dutch top flight.
