Fiorentina are expected to let go of their current manager, Vincenzo Italiano, at the end of the season.

Over recent weeks, Italian media have increasingly linked Italiano with a decision to part ways with the Viola after completing his third and final season in Florence.

With his future yet to be written, Fiorentina’s management in the form of executives Nicolas Burdisso and Daniele Prade have began searching for a valid replacement.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the first name on the list belongs to Daniele De Rossi.

The recently appointed Roma manager has stunned everyone as he continues to collect important results with a team that had been left for dead once Jose Mourinho’s dismissal had become official.

Fiorentina are said to be monitoring De Rossi with interest and could even venture into approaching him as the season winds to an end, with a proposal to take over from Italiano.

De Rossi, however, is very much intent on impressing Roma, first and foremost, with the goal of convincing the Friedkins and CEO Lina Souloukou to make him the team’s long-term manager.
