Florenzi’s future remains a mystery

John Solano

Paulo Fonseca’s Roma begins to take shape. Yesterday the new signings, Diawara and Veretout, underwent their medical examinations and are now at the disposal of the Portuguese boss. During yesterday’s friendly against Trastevere, more confirmations seemed to arrive about Fonseca’s ideas. For the second consecutive match, Alessandro Florenzi was deployed on the wing: all but assuring Fonseca does not view him as a right back. La Repubblica reports that Petrachi will go in search of a new reinforcement for right back and the two names, to date, are Danilo D’Ambrosio of Inter and Napoli’s Hysaj.

Petrachi, though, first has to focus on sales as Nzonzi, Gonalons, Karsdorp, Pastore, Bianda, and Ćorić are all considered available on the market. Even Florenzi is not considered “unsellable” by the club, however, no offer has arrived.
