RomaPress – Just one day after Roma’s official financial confirmed talks were ongoing, an executive of The Friedkin Group has confirmed to RomaPress that talks with club president James Pallotta remain alive.
”Talks are ongoing, they’re still alive”, said Friedkin’s legal executive, who chose to remain anonymous.
”What are we waiting for? We’re awaiting a decision on Serie A. If the 2019/2020 season is cancelled, there will be financial implications that we must first analyse”.
“We will see what happens”.
A deal was struck between the sides in March, however, the Coronavirus pandemic interrupted the final closure of the operation.
Sources at Roma maintain that Starwood Capital, the financial partners of Pallotta, continue to push for the sale of the club.
