Sources from England claim Roma are working on the signing of Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah on the request of Jose Mourinho.

According to The Mirror, Mourinho has identified Chalobah as his preferred replacement of Evan Ndicka who is set to join the Ivory Coast national team for AFCON in January.

The news portal claims Roma representatives have already met with Chelsea to hold preliminary discussions for Chalobah’s January switch.

In recent months, Chalobah has been excluded from Mauricio Pochettino’s pecking order and is therefore eager to change scenery as soon as possible.
