Roma is already hard at work planning the summer transfer window.

Sporting director Frederic Massara has put several names in his pocket to strengthen all areas.

In addition to attack and midfield, the Roman club will also be looking for reinforcements in defence.

One player who’s receiving attention in the Trigoria area is Israel Reyes.

According to Mexican portal TUDN, the 2000-born player is being targeted by several European clubs, including the Giallorossi.

Born in 2000, he plays as a central defender for Club America, while for the national team he plays as a right back.

Reyes is a versatile player who could be a great fit for Roma. Gian Piero Gasperini could use him as either a wing-back or a defensive midfielder, as he’s doing with Zeki Celik this season, though his contract is expiring.

Benfica and Wolverhampton Wanderers are also pursuing the Mexican, and with the World Cup approaching, he could attract interest from other clubs.

Puebla, his former club, holds a percentage of the future sale, and Club America’s valuation could be higher than expected to maximize profits. Official negotiations have not yet begun, but the 2000-born player’s name will be hotly debated this summer.
