Roma have made Samu Omorodion their priority to replace Romelu Lukaku ahead of next season.
Lukaku’s return to Chelsea prompted the Giallorossi to seek a young replacement on the market.
Giallorossi director Florent Ghisolfi immediately focus on Omorodion who now appears to be the capital club’s first-choice to strengthen the team’s attack.
The 20-year-old striker is set to make his return to Atletico Madrid after concluding his loan at Alaves with 9 goals to his name.
The latest rumors of Roma’s interest in him have been confirmed in today’s Spanish media.
AS, in fact, reveals that the Giallorossi would be ready to shell out the €35 million Atletico are asking for.
However, “Cholo” Simeone remains to be convinced: the Atletico boss wants to wait, observe and evaluate Omorodion during preseason training. Simeone is said to be considering starting Omorodion ahead of Alvaro Morata next season.
