Roma suffered problems in the 49th minute. Lorenzo Pellegrini suffered a muscle problem in his right thigh, forcing him to sit out the start of the second half against Slovan Bratislava.

More information will be available in the coming hours regarding the injury to the number 7, who returned to the starting lineup for European action that evening at the Olimpico, awaiting medical tests.

Soulé came on in his place, and the armband was handed to Pisilli, Roma’s first-ever captain. It was a fortunate debut for the Roman and Roma midfielder, who scored the third goal just minutes later.

Gian Piero Gasperini spoke about Pellegrini’s injury in a press conference: “I don’t think it’s serious. Even though it’s a minor injury, when it’s a muscle injury it takes 20 days. I think it’s of that magnitude. Now this week we have an extra day before Napoli, then we have a series of games every three days.”

“The attacking line is crucial now, in terms of substitutions, quality, and numbers. So we’re facing a series of games where, if we don’t get Dybala back quickly, we’ll definitely be short-handed.”
