And on Palestra: “He’s a top player for a 2005 player. We started having him train with the Atalanta first team when he was 17, then he joined the Under-23s. That experience between Serie C and the first team was useful to him. Now he’s grown a lot and plays like a top player.”
Gasperini then commented on the lack of use of VAR this evening: “Not even a single intervention today, which was beautiful, would have been ideal. It means everything went smoothly and we even had more play. This is fortunate; it means the referee saw every incident. A perfect match.”
