Rodrigo Mora has taken over Roma.

Gian Piero Gasperini is obsessed with the 2007-born player: he coddles him: “He’s an extraordinary talent. He’s already won two championships at just 19 years old, he’s a growing and evolving player, but with a great personality,” and he launches him fearlessly onto the pitch.

After all, the investment in the 2007-born player was around €50 million in total, with an imaginative formula.

The former Porto player was present when called upon, confirming the sentiments of the Grugliasco coach, who had said, “When he has the ball, something always happens.”

Time is on the young talent’s side, but if these are the first few outings in the Giallorossi jersey, the future seems bright for the Trigoria team.

Dribbling and dangerous shots: the only thing missing from the young talent’s performance was a goal, which he already found against Lecce.

But scoring was difficult for anyone against a superb Marco Carnesecchi: the Giallorossi only found the back of the net in the final minutes. Rodrigo does well both in a central position and starting from the sidelines: the metamorphosis into a winger that D’Amico spoke of is imminent.

Mora is ready for the Champions League. The 2007-born player has earned his spot in the attacking midfield and is unlikely to be displaced from there. With Fenerbahce, Il Messaggero reports, he’s a candidate for a starting spot, making his first Champions League appearance of his career. The Portuguese will take the field wearing the Debut Patch, an insert featured on the jersey of anyone making their debut in the competition.
