Roma defender Gianluca Mancini is looking to make his first start in Italy’s debut at the EUROs with Albania on Saturday.
The Giallorossi vice-captain is projected to make an appearance from the start in Luciano Spalletti’s line-up.
The Italy boss praised Mancini during his press conference earlier today when he was asked by members of the media to provide more clarity with regards to the team’s backline for tomorrow.
“Mancini has a lot of experience, that is, he has made more important decisions than anyone else whenever he’s played for us,” said Spalletti.
“Being forced to make crucial decisions helps you, but Bastoni can be a leader too,” Spalletti continued.
“Buongiorno and Calafiori have the makings of those who want to reach a high level,” he added.
