Hellas Verona manager Marco Baroni expressed his frustration with his team’s inability to come back against Roma in their 2-1 defeat earlier tonight.

In his post-match interview with DAZN, Baroni commented, “We started well, then we made two mistakes and conceded two goals.”

“At half-time I brought some order and we had a great second half, even managing to score a goal. This gives us confidence. It’s true that it wasn’t an easy match, there were many absentees.”

“This match could have had a different twist, but I’m happy with the performance and the reaction in the second half.”

“In my opinion the team started well. Unfortunately there was an episode, a low clearance, Roma were good and took advantage, they made a pass and went on goal. It was an avoidable mistake. And you can’t gift those mistakes to a team like Roma.”
