Despite the injury that’s keeping him out of action, Evan Ferguson has been called up to the Ireland squad for their upcoming matches against Portugal and Hungary.
The Irishman has made no contribution so far, and he’s been carrying the discomfort for several matches: the recent games in Florence and Reggio Emilia were affected by the problem, while he was forced to withdraw against Milan, Parma, and Rangers.
Ferguson will also miss the Udinese match, and Gasperini, writes Il Corriere dello Sport, had speculated that after the match against the Friulians he would be fit and able to work with the rest of the team.
