Italy coach Roberto Mancini critical of Zaniolo: “He must realize he’s been lucky.”

The coach of the Italian national team, Roberto Mancini, sounded critical of Zaniolo’s attitude in this transfer window as well as his choices off the pitch.

“I don’t know whether it’s good or bad for him to leave Roma,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“All I know is that Zaniolo must realize that he’s been incredibly lucky throughout his career,” Mancini added.

“In a split second he was able to play for Italy and Roma at the same time, he can’t waste any more time and opportunities.”

“He cannot afford to waste the qualities at his disposal,” concluded the manager.
