RomaPress – Twenty-one year old German-born defender Julian Chabot of Groningen has had a sensational campaign for the Eredivisie side and has now cast himself in the spotlight of several important European sides, but it’s not only club sides who are interested in his services.

Chabot, who has made 22 appearances for the Dutch side this season, has featured for Germany’s youth national team set-up, however, due to having both a French and German passport, Les Bleus are also quite interested in seeing if they can sway the player to change national team allegiances.

Standing at nearly 195 cm (6’5″) tall, Chabot’s physical presence is the first thing you’ll notice when he steps on to the pitch. The left-footed defender mixes his physical ability with an impressive sense of positioning and reading of the game while showing incredible calmness in difficult one versus one situations. So far this season, the youngster has won 64% of his duels and has yet to make a single error leading to a goal. He will undoubtedly have to improve upon his 72% passing accuracy, but he should have few problems in developing into a more consistent passer.

Given his impressive season, Chabot has warranted strong interest throughout Europe. RomaPress can confirm that the Giallorossi are indeed interested in the player, however, Monaco also have their eyes on the youngster. It remains to be seen what his future holds, but there is no doubting that Julian Chabot has a bright future in front of him and is one to watch.
