Enzo Le Fée appears set to leave Roma and head to the English Championship, marking the end of his short-lived stint in the Italian capital.

The French midfielder, who arrived in Rome with high expectations following his €23 million transfer from Renne, struggled to make an impact in his first six months with the Giallorossi.

As a result, he is now poised to become the first player to depart Roma in the current transfer window. According to Calciomercato.it, Sunderland have moved quickly to secure Le Fée on a loan deal that is expected to run until the end of the season.

The agreement includes a conditional obligation to buy, which will be triggered if Sunderland, currently 4th in the Championship table, achieve promotion to the Premier League.
