Roma have been offered the services of Liverpool defender Joel Matip.
The 31-year-old centreback has received Jurgen Klopp’s approval to depart the Reds in the upcoming summer window as his contract is set to run out a year from now.
According to Italian journalist Francesco Balzani, Matip is keen on playing in Italy.
In recent months, his entourage have offered him to Milan, Juventus and Roma. The Giallorossi could evaluate him in the coming weeks as he represents a low-cost option similar to Chris Smalling a few years ago.
Matip’s current pricetag ranges around €15 million.
